About Amenorrhea
Amenorrhea means absence of menses in a woman of reproductive
age. This can be classified as primary and secondary.
Primary Amenorrhea refers to patients who have never menstruated.
Failure of menstruation, either sudden or gradual, for
3 or more cycles, in a normally menstruating woman, in
the absence of pregnancy, is termed as Secondary Amenorrhea.
